Debbie Allbritton: a garden designer in Fredericksburg, TX with a local garden design business, Pop Up Gardens. (830) 456-2733, (830) 990-9047
I began my gardening career by becoming smitten with gardening in the lush Pacific NW in the early 90's. I was a full-on plant nerd with a large Seattle garden full of unusual and rare plants from around the world.
Soon I was taking classes with reknown garden designer and author, Ann Lovejoy, and before long I was designing friends' gardens.
Pop Up Gardens began in Texas in 2001 as I installed my own large scale native Texas garden. I combine my background in art / design, with a degree from Univ. of Texas, with my passion for native and adaptable plants to create outdoor living spaces and lush dry gardens that are drought tolerant although full with texture, life and color.
Obviously gardening, as well as design and architecture. In addition to art & design, I'm also a plant nerd. And then there's running, cycling, reading, movies, hanging with my kids & family.
